Pastry Cook

BETA5 has quickly developed a reputation in Vancouver for our creative approach to pastry and chocolate. Our chocolates have won numerous international awards, and our cream puffs and ice creams are always in high demand. We have built a small but dynamic team of cooks who come from a variety of backgrounds. Collectively, we share a commitment to consistently making a high quality product from locally sourced and seasonally appropriate ingredients.

We are currently looking to fill a full-time pastry cook position. A typical work week for this position is Wednesday - Sunday, starting at 8am. As a member of our pastry team, you are involved in the daily garnishing of pastries for service, and regular production of a variety of components including, but not limited to choux, mousses, creams, curds, custards, and chocolate garnishes. Our menu changes seasonally, and we encourage our team to participate in the creative process.

Our ideal candidate is an individual who is motivated to grow and develop their skills as a pastry cook. We look for insightful cooks who take a strong interest in the process of making pastries.
